An Overview
Anesthesia operations research consists of decisions at four levels:
- Strategic….years in advance (Should we build the new hospital, service, or operating rooms?)
- Tactical…..months in advance (How should the new hospital, service, or operating rooms be used?)
- Operation…today (How do we staff the rooms and cases we need to cover?)
- Determination of financial and operational support for the anesthesia professionals based factors 1-3.
